Night owl dies after falling over railing
The sad end to a night of partying in Linz: a 34-year-old Feldkirchen man fell about three meters over a railing on Sunday night. He landed so awkwardly that even the emergency doctor who was quickly on the scene was unable to save him.
The 34-year-old is said to have been partying in the Passage in Linz and left the bar at 3 a.m. on Sunday, possibly to smoke. Witnesses observed that he then leaned riskily over a railing outside the building. He probably lost his balance and fell about three meters.
Serious head injuries
The night owl suffered extremely serious head injuries on impact, passers-by immediately rushed to his aid and set the rescue chain in motion. Although the emergency doctor carried out resuscitation measures before arriving at the accident hospital in Linz, the injuries were probably too severe.
The 34-year-old died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
