Is it Felzmann?
Mystery continues over skeletonized corpse
The discovery of a skeletonized corpse near Grundlsee in Upper Styria continues to keep people guessing: Is it Friedrich Felzmann, the double murderer from Stiwoll? The analysis of the long gun found next to the body will take longer than expected.
The body, which forester Benedikt Berger found with his dog "Heidi" near Lake Grundlsee on Monday morning, has been lying in the forest for at least two years - we reported. The mystery surrounding the identity of the deceased continues days later. Because no one matching the description is missing in the region. "My find is a mystery to everyone," Berger told "Krone".
"No recognizable weapon number"
And so speculation continues that the deceased could be the wanted double murderer from Stiwoll, Friedrich Felzmann. He is known to have disappeared from the face of the earth since 2017.
Which would speak for it: A long gun was found next to the body - Felzmann had also used one of these in his crimes. However, the police cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the deceased based on this weapon for the time being: "The weapon is so rusty that the weapon number is no longer recognizable. This must first be restored," explains police press officer Reinhard Gartner.
