Bad fall from ladder
Former deputy mayor Dolinar is in intensive care
Former deputy mayor Alois Dolinar is in intensive care at Klagenfurt Hospital. The "Team Kärnten" politician fell from a four-meter-high ladder and sustained serious head injuries.
In recent weeks, Alois Dolinar has been constantly in the headlines; he had to resign as deputy mayor of Klagenfurt due to a housing scandal. An allocation of a cooperative apartment to his son was the political end. But just one week after his replacement, he suffered a serious fall from a ladder. Dolinar fell from a height of four meters and hit his head on the concrete.
The teacher suffered extremely serious head injuries and his left hand was also shattered. It is a miracle that he survived the collision with these injuries. The 68-year-old was first taken to Villach Hospital and was even put into a deep sleep by the doctors. He is now in Klagenfurt Hospital and is being transferred to the neurosurgery department.
"It's going to be a tough fight," Dolinar wrote to the "Krone" newspaper from the hospital. His chief secretary has already paid a visit: "He was a sensitive boss." Mayor Christian Scheider also wishes the man from Spittal, who now sits on the municipal council for Team Carinthia, all the best: "We think and feel for Alois and wish him the very best."
