"Luxury diaper"
Sydney Sweeney in glitter briefs makes people smile
The bottomless look is very trendy among celebrities at the moment - as Kirsten Stewart proved at the film premiere of "Love Lies Bleeding". And Sydney Sweeney also caused a stir in Paris with her glittery panties outfit.
Who needs pants when you can have glittery panties, thought Sydney Sweeney when choosing her Fashion Week outfit.
Briefs as a fashion statement
The cheeky piece, which is cut like a classic pair of underpants, but of course looks much more glamorous than grandma's lovestick thanks to the numerous sequins, was not worn by the actress under her outfit, but as the key piece of the entire look.
A matching crop top, an oversized blazer, black tights and black platform sandals gave the designer piece, which comes from the Miu Miu brand, enough space to unfold its effect.
The no-pants trend has long since become socially acceptable
The no-pants look à la Sweeney has long since become socially acceptable - and not just thanks to Miu Miu. Last year, the fashion brand sent its models down the catwalk in various designs of the trend piece. Victoria Beckham also turned knitted granny panties into a trend. And stars such as 'The Crown' star Emma Corrin and Kendall Jenner have long since come out as fans of the no-pants trend.
Sweeney's unusual Fashion Week look has caused mixed reactions online. "She's so beautiful" raved one person, while another sent a flame emoji. But many fans only had one thought in mind when they saw the 26-year-old's look: "An expensive diaper..."
Not a bargain
And the fans weren't wrong. Because anyone who thinks that the luxury label briefs could possibly be a bargain is mistaken. A Miu Miu model similar to the one worn by the "Euphoria" actress in Paris costs a whopping 4,100 euros.
