Alex de Minaur defends his title in Acapulco

Alex de Minaur has triumphed again at the tournament in Mexico. The Australian defeated the Norwegian Casper Ruud in the final. He also eliminated Sebastian Ofner from the tournament in the round of 16. 

Australian Alex de Minaur successfully defended his title at the hard court tennis tournament in Acapulco. The world number nine defeated the Norwegian Casper Ruud 6:4, 6:4 in the final on Saturday evening and thus secured his place in the top ten.

It was the 25-year-old's eighth career title on the ATP Tour, having also knocked out Austria's number one Sebastian Ofner in the round of 16. Dominic Thiem had won the tournament in Acapulco in 2016.
