Schwab in 34th place at the halfway stage in South Africa

Professional golfer Matthias Schwab has made the cut at the SDC Championship in South Africa. 

The 29-year-old Styrian remained one stroke over par on the par-72 course in St. Francis Bay on Friday and dropped back to 34th place in the ranking. The ÖGV player had needed 70 strokes at the start. "It was difficult to play in extreme wind conditions. I'm happy to be back in the cut after Kenya last week, even though I didn't play my best golf," said Schwab.

The Englishman Daniel Brown is in the lead with eleven under par. Schwab has needed ten strokes more than the leader so far.
