Thief injured himself on broken vodka bottle
Shrove Tuesday ended with cuts in hospital for a 24-year-old who tried to steal from an 18-year-old.
A vodka bottle was the target of desire for the man from Klagenfurt (24). The young man wanted to steal it from an 18-year-old Klagenfurt woman in the middle of the city at around 9.30 pm. Some people were celebrating Shrove Tuesday in the pubs of the provincial capital.
But the 18-year-old refused to put up with it and gave the thief a push, causing him to fall. "The bottle broke in the process. The man was injured to an indeterminate degree by the broken glass," an officer explained.
Both will be charged
The injured man had to be taken to Klagenfurt Regional Hospital by the ambulance service, the woman was only slightly injured and did not require medical assistance. "Once the investigations have been completed, both people involved will be reported to the public prosecutor's office in Klagenfurt," said the police. One for theft, the other for assault.
