The hot phase of the basic round of the ICE League begins today, Wednesday. VSV have to travel to the Vienna Capitals and, as outsiders for a top 6 place, definitely need a win. After all, two key players are set to extend their contracts. Meanwhile, the KAC are certain about the injury to top star Jan Mursaks.

Now it counts! If VSV want to secure a place in the play-offs, they will probably need three wins in their final games with Vienna in Ljubljana and against Asiago. The starting position clearly favors the competition from Graz (81 points) and Linz (79), who have one more game to play than Villach - the Adler are currently on 77 points. On Wednesday evening there will be a direct duel between the two hunted teams.
