Three people injured in a skidding crash in Bersbuch

Three people were injured in a traffic accident in the Bregenzerwald region of Vorarlberg on Saturday evening. A 27-year-old man had crashed his VW Golf into a stone wall and skidded back onto the road before coming to a halt just before a bridge,

The 27-year-old was traveling with two passengers in his VW Golf from Bersbuch towards Bezau at around 10.30 pm. On a sharp left-hand bend, the vehicle skidded, presumably due to the wet road surface, and crashed into a stone wall.

After initial treatment, the occupants were taken to the regional hospital in Bregenz.(Bild: Maurice Shourot)

The vehicle then skidded across the road and came to a standstill on the opposite side just before the Sporenbrücke bridge. According to the police, all three occupants received first aid at the scene and were then taken to Bregenz Regional Hospital by ambulance. A preliminary alcohol test carried out on the driver was negative.
