The quarter-final fight between Luca Anna Hamori and Imane Khelif on Saturday is eagerly awaited. The former caused a stir in the run-up to the match with a post: The Hungarian compared the "male" boxer from Algeria to a beast.

Luca Anna Hamori shared a picture on her Instagram channel that is currently causing quite a stir at the Olympic Games. It shows a muscle-bound beast that is supposed to represent her upcoming opponent, Imane Khelif.

"If she or he is a man, it will be a bigger victory for me if I win," Hamori had already emphasized a few days ago. And she was confident of victory: "I want to win a medal at the Olympic Games. So I don't care about anything. I will go into the ring and get my victory."

Objection lodged
Hungary's boxing federation has already contacted both the national and international Olympic committees and lodged an objection to the fight. Khelif triggered a discussion about her participation after her 46-second opening victory over Angela Carini (ITA) on Thursday.

Khelif had been excluded from the 2023 World Championships due to elevated testosterone levels, but the IOC had granted her permission to compete in Paris. Lin Yu-ting is also affected by this; she is also allowed to compete in Paris. The Taiwanese athlete celebrated a points victory over Sidora Turdibekova from Uzbekistan in the last 16 of the 57 kg category on Friday.
