Jenna Ortega less lonely thanks to Winona Ryder

According to US actress Jenna Ortega, she felt lonely after the success of the horror series "Wednesday". 

"It's a very isolating experience and a scary one," the 21-year-old told US magazine "Harper's Bazaar", referring to her increasing fame following the series' release in 2022.

Ortega said that she received support from fellow actress Winona Ryder (52) during the filming of the sequel to the cult classic "Beetlejuice". "She definitely helped me feel less alone."

"A source of comfort"
Ryder's own experiences were helpful for Ortega: "Being able to talk to someone who has experienced this first-hand (...) was a great source of comfort for me, and I can't thank her enough for that."

Ryder had also become a star as a teenager. In 1988, she starred in Tim Burton's horror comedy "Beetlejuice" and had her breakthrough in 1990 alongside Jonny Depp in the film "Edward with Scissorhands". "Beetlejuice 2", in which Ortega and Ryder are joined by Michael Keaton, Monica Bellucci and Willem Dafoe, is due to be released in September.
