Salzburg Milch further reduces sugar content

The preventive medicine institute SIPCAN has set an upper limit of 10.5 g sugar per 100 ml/mg for the year 2027. This has prompted Salzburg Milch to adjust its own product range accordingly.

The company announced on Tuesday that all fruit and drinking yogurts, fruit whey as well as chocolate and vanilla milk already contain less than the maximum amount set by SPICAN for 2027. Where this is not yet the case, work will continue on implementation.

The result with less sugar was achieved in the past by continuously adapting recipes. The sugar content of many products has been lowered and the appreciated taste has been preserved without using sugar substitutes.
