New York Rangers tie the semi-final series 1-1

The New York Rangers have won the second game in the semi-finals of the North American Ice Hockey League (NHL) against the Florida Panthers to tie the best-of-seven series 1-1. The Rangers won 2:1 after overtime in their second home game on Friday (local time) after losing 3:0 in the opener.

Rangers attacker Barclay Goodrow scored the winner in the 15th minute of overtime. Goodrow has now scored four times in the play-off and as many goals as in the entire main round (80 games). In the first period, the hosts had already taken the lead after four minutes thanks to Vincent Trocheck, but the Panthers equalized through Carter Verhaeghe at the end of the opening period.

Fifth game
The Eastern Conference finals will now continue in the next two games in Sunrise, the Panthers' home arena, and there will definitely be a fifth game, then again in New York.
