Austria’s number one Grabher injured again

Austria's best tennis player, Julia Grabher, is having problems again after suffering a wrist injury last year. According to her coach Günter Bresnik, the 27-year-old from Vorarlberg, who is currently ranked 143rd in the WTA rankings, has been diagnosed with bone marrow edema in her hitting hand. 

"She said in Wiesbaden that she can't play like this," Bresnik told APA. Grabher had failed there at the end of April in round one against the German qualifier Anna Gabric, losing 2:6, 1:6.

According to Bresnik, some pain is normal because the healing process after the wrist operation last September is not yet complete. She is due to have a check-up with hand specialist Professor Leixnering in Vienna on Monday.
