Man pointed a firearm at several people
The Vienna police were alerted twice on Saturday because of firearms. In the first case, a man pointed his gun at several people because he felt disturbed by the noise of the group.
A man called the police on Saturday afternoon in Vienna-Penzing because he saw a man aiming a firearm at a group of people several times from his balcony. The police quickly located the 56-year-old and arrested him. He was legally in possession of several weapons and ammunition. These and a firearms document were also seized.
Felt disturbed by noise
During questioning, the man partially confessed and stated that he had felt disturbed by the noise of the group. He was released by order of the Vienna public prosecutor's office.
Youth shoots from balcony
The next incident occurred at around 7.30 p.m.: A teenager is said to have shot at least one object from his balcony with a gun. The police encountered a 17-year-old in the apartment. A temporary weapons ban was issued against him.
Several soft air weapons, two swords and a pepper spray were seized. According to his own statements, the teenager had fired because a friend of his had shot at him from the ground.
