Drugged driver sped through the town at 129 km/h

A 26-year-old driver was driving more than twice as fast as the speed limit in Schwaz in Tyrol on Sunday. Unfortunately for him, a police patrol became aware of his joyride and noticed that the speeding driver was not actually fit to drive.

At around 10.30 a.m., the officers noticed the car speeding through the town of Schwaz at 129 km/h. The speed limit on the road in question is 60 km/h. 

The officers stopped the man and carried out a check on him. The driver tested positive for drugs. However, the 26-year-old refused to undergo a thorough examination by the public health officer. 

Car keys and driver's license taken
The police took the man's driver's license and car keys on the spot. He was forbidden to continue driving.
