Tyrol awards dedicated places for medical studies

The state of Tyrol is awarding a total of five dedicated places to study human medicine until April 30th. The scholarship holders receive 1000 euros per month during their studies and a starting salary of approx. 6800 euros gross. In return, they undertake to stay in Tyrol for at least five years after completing their studies.

The province of Tyrol reports that the number of dedicated medical study places is high. If you get one of these, you will receive a monthly grant of 1,000 euros for the duration of your studies, with a gross starting salary of 6,804.50 euros. However, this is accompanied by the obligation to work as a doctor in Tyrol's public health service for at least five years after completing general medical or specialist training.

Among the top 25 percent in the entrance test
This area of responsibility includes maintaining public health, drawing up health-related crisis plans and recording and tracking notifiable diseases. There are a total of five dedicated study places - in order to be considered, you have to be among the top 25 percent in the human medicine entrance exam, but not get one of the regular study places. You can still apply until April 30.

This initiative not only attracts doctors to the public service, but also takes groundbreaking steps towards strengthening public health.
