Four Viennese police officers injured by father and son
The police were alerted on Wednesday because a father (56) and his son, who is only 20 years old, allegedly insulted and beat a 29-year-old man in Vienna-Liesing. The incident ended with five people injured - four of whom were officers.
Father and son apparently lost all self-control on Wednesday afternoon: First, the two Austrians are said to have attacked the victim in Perfektastrasse for unknown reasons and insulted him. One of them then allegedly attacked the man with a punch.
Swastikas and SS runes discovered
After arriving at the scene, their aggression was then directed at the police who intervened. In addition, the two Austrians had attached swastikas and SS runes to their mobile home - which was parked at the scene of the crime - the police reported on Thursday.
Weapons hidden in mobile home
While the officers were still trying to clarify what the dispute was about, the father attacked a police officer and resisted arrest to the best of his ability, supported by his son. The camper van's registration was no longer valid and there were CO2 and compressed air weapons as well as knives inside.
Father was arrested
While the younger man was released, the 56-year-old was sent to prison. Four police officers were injured during the operation, as was the 29-year-old.
