A serious collision occurred on Tuesday morning in Pinzgau (Salzburg). A 20-year-old Tyrolean lost his life and three people were seriously injured. The B311 road in Pinzgau had to be closed due to the accident.

There was a traffic accident on the B311, the Pinzgauer Straße, in Taxenbach at around 6.30 am on Tuesday.

Two cars collided head-on in the Trattenbach area. A 20-year-old Tyrolean collided with his car with the company vehicle of a 43-year-old Bosnian. As incident commander Anton Voithofer confirmed to "Krone", the driver of one of the vehicles was killed. According to the police, it was the 20-year-old Tyrolean. 

Road had to be closed
Three people were seriously injured and three others were slightly injured. They were taken by emergency vehicles to the hospitals in Zell am See and Schwarzach.

Due to the collision, the road had to be closed in both directions and traffic was diverted via the Rauriser Höhe. The road was only reopened to traffic shortly before 11 am.
