The fast food chicken is a long time coming

Kentucky Fried Chicken, a fast food company from the USA, is opening its first branch in Klagenfurt - but the date is not yet fixed.

The US company Kentucky Fried Chicken operates more than 25,000 branches worldwide and employs 350,000 people. Klagenfurt has also been waiting months for its first KFC branch, in Kramergasse. As reported, the fast food restaurant should have moved into a former perfumery store a long time ago. However, the smell of fried chicken is still missing in the old town, fueling fears that KFC has pulled out of the deal.

Next date probably in summer
"That's not true!" replies Head of Marketing Agnieszka Imsirovic. "However, KFC is currently still focused on other locations: A new location in Baku in Azerbaijan was completed in the last few months, and now it's Slovakia's turn. These are modern fast food centers with KFC's new designer line. This will be completed by the end of April. Then we will concentrate on Austria," promises Imsirovic, who comes from Althofen. In Austria, the locations in Wels and Amstetten will be completed first. "Then we'll take on Klagenfurt," says Imsirovic. So it could be ready by the summer.

Already 13 branches in Austria
There are already 13 branches of Fastfood-Hendl in Austria. "We are also opening a coffee house in Klagenfurt - and everything will have the latest design," emphasizes Agnieszka Imsirovic, who is already looking forward to her next visit to Carinthia: "I'll be in Althofen at Easter."
