Police looking for witnesses after brutal robbery

A criminal trio in Feldkirch first knocked a man down with a punch and then stole his cash. The thugs were able to escape undetected.

The crime took place over a week ago: on March 2, a Saturday, three strangers approached a man in the area of the Lorenz-Gehrmann-Straße bus stop in Feldkirch at around 9.10 pm. After a brief exchange of words, the man continued in the direction of the town center.

The trio took up the chase and confronted the man. He was knocked to the ground with a punch, then the perpetrators took the cash from their victim's clothes and made off. As the investigations to date have been unsuccessful, the police have now appealed for witnesses.

The trio is described as follows: The first perpetrator is said to be a 30-year-old man, a good 1.80 meters tall, with a dark full beard and an "Afghan appearance". The second perpetrator was of a similar age and roughly the same height, but had light-colored hair. The third offender's hair is said to have been dark again. Anyone with information should contact the Feldkirch police station.
