Man thrown from vehicle: Seriously injured

Dramatic accident in Tyrol! A man was thrown from his motorized cart during fertilizer work when it tipped over, rolled over several times and then plunged approx. 40 meters down a steep slope. The 69-year-old was seriously injured and had to be taken to hospital by emergency helicopter.

Wild scenes in the Tyrolean municipality of Oberau! On Monday, a local man (69) was busy fertilizing a field. He was driving a motorized cart. At around 3.50 p.m., the motorized cart tipped over on the approx. 35 degree slope and crashed, overturning several times, some 40 meters down the slope!

Neighbor alerts rescue
The driver was thrown out of the cab and seriously injured. A neighbor noticed the accident and had the presence of mind to call the emergency services immediately. The injured man was first treated by the emergency doctor and the ambulance and then flown by helicopter to the hospital in Kufstein.
