On Thursday evening, the Bad Gastein volunteer fire department had to respond to a fire on the Bellevuealm. A fire had broken out in a sauna, but thanks to the rapid intervention of the fire department, the worst was prevented.
The favorable weather conditions and the already melted snow made the operation easier, as the emergency vehicles were able to get directly to the source of the fire.
After around two hours of intensive extinguishing work, the fire department was able to give the all-clear. Fortunately, no one was injured and the damage was limited. The exact cause of the sauna fire is currently being investigated by the emergency services.
