Unknown skier drove off after collision

After an unknown skier ran over the skis of a Dutchman (58) in Neustift in the Stubai Valley (Tyrol) on Tuesday, he made off a short time later. The police are now looking for witnesses who saw the incident or the man.

The accident occurred shortly after 12 noon on Tuesday below the 6-seater chairlift of the "Eisjochbahn" in Neustift in the Stubai Valley. A 58-year-old Dutchman had got off there when the previously unknown skier ran over his right ski.

The Dutchman fell and injured his right knee. The unknown skier brought the man his ski poles but left the scene of the accident a short time later. The injured man was rescued by the piste rescue team using a skidoo and taken to a doctor.

Police with personal description 
However, there is no trace of the man who caused the accident. The man was between 50 and 60 years old, about 1.90 meters tall and spoke German. He had white skis, yellow ski pants and was wearing a black jacket and a dark ski helmet.
