This duo is like a surprise attack: We are giving away tickets for the musical concert highlight with Mateusz Smoczyński and Stephan Braun on March 5 at the Sargfabrik in Vienna.

Mateusz Smoczyński and Stephan Braun are masters of their instruments. Through the use of unconventional playing techniques, sophisticated compositions and their experimental approach to music, they have developed an unmistakable, characteristic sound - their music is "disarmingly complex", like a "surprise attack".

As one of the most interesting cellists on the European jazz scene, Stephan Braun has already worked with renowned artists such as Melody Gardot, Nils Landgren and Giora Feidman. The widely traveled jazz violinist Mateusz Smoczyński is a winner of numerous prizes, including the Grand Prix of the Zbigniew Seifert Jazz Competition.

The two long-time partners have just recorded their first album together. Strong compositions and excellent playing ensure that Smoczyński & Braun provide a captivating listening experience from start to finish.
