The Eisbullen picked this quarter-final opponent

Salzburg chose Linz for their play-off entry. In third place, the Eisbullen no longer had much choice. The decision was made between the Upper Austrians and Villach. KAC picked the Pioneers Vorarlberg.

While Vorarlberg beat Innsbruck after just two games in the pre-play-off, Pustertal and Ljubljana needed the third deciding game. The South Tyroleans won this by the narrow margin of 4:3 in overtime to advance to the Ice Hockey League quarter-finals. There they were picked by Fehervar.

The reigning champions from Salzburg chose Linz (1st game, Sunday 17.30, live on Puls24). After the Eisbullen had to give preference to the KAC and Fehervar, the only choice left was between the Upper Austrians and VSV. Bolzano will therefore face Villach, somewhat surprisingly. 

Bulls coach Oliver David: "The competition is open. Every team can have a good phase in March, extend it into April and play for the championship. That includes us." His team lost one game against Linz this season.

The KAC was the first to pick the Pioneers Vorarlberg.

One more game in the Alps Hockey League
One division lower, the Unterland Cavaliers won the pre-play-off after just two games. The season is now over for Val Gardena. Merano and Kitzbühel meet once again. Who the Zell Polar Bears and the Red Bull Juniors will face has not yet been decided.
