Magicians on the edge
Ehrlich Brothers: “Sometimes we hate it”
"Sometimes we hate the fact that we have to deliver on time. And at the same time, we love this pressure," admits Chris Ehrlich openly in an interview with the "Krone". The two magician brothers push themselves to their limits and beyond for their shows.
As their current tour "Dream & Fly" draws to a close - the magician brothers will be performing in Salzburg for the last time on March 16 and 17 - new challenges lie ahead. After the city of Mozart, America is calling! But in order to be able to hold their own there, the brothers now have to work quickly on new magic tricks.
Years of practice for the perfect trick
"We always divide the year into one half of the tour and one half to develop new illusions. This takes a lot of time because we attach great importance to getting everything 100% right," says Chris. He knows what he's talking about: he once fell from a height of three meters during a stunt. "Thank God there were only bruises. That could have ended badly."
A whole four years of development went into the trick in which the two brothers hover over the stage on a motorcycle.
The Ehrlich Brothers are currently working on something particularly tricky for America: "We want to impale ourselves at a height of eight meters," Chris reveals about what is probably the most dangerous illusion they will ever put the audience through.
