The decision on Cristiano Ronaldo's future has apparently been made: According to numerous Saudi Arabian media reports, the Al-Nassr superstar is on the verge of extending his contract. The next windfall beckons.

As Ronaldo's current contract expires in the summer, there have been numerous rumors recently. Will the Portuguese, who turns 40 at the beginning of February, be hanging up his boots soon? No, at least if the Saudi Arabian media are to be believed. Ronaldo is about to extend his contract with Al-Nassr, with his new contract set to run until the summer of 2026.

Ronaldo moved to Al-Nassr in the desert two years ago, earning 400 million euros to date. His new contract is also expected to earn him 200 million euros per year. At the end of his contract, he would have received an incredible total of 700 million euros.

Career coming to an end
"I am planning my retirement and it will happen in a year or two. I'm about to turn 40 and I really want to enjoy it, as long as I feel motivated I'll keep going. The day I no longer feel motivated, I'll retire," said "CR7" a few weeks ago.
