Burton store warehouse is on fire

Major operation for the fire department in Innsbruck. The Burton store in Hallerstraße caught fire early Wednesday evening. Several fire departments were deployed. The cause is still unclear.

On Wednesday evening, at around 5 pm, the warehouse of the Burton store in Innsbruck-Arzl caught fire. A piece of equipment is believed to have caught fire there and caught fire shortly afterwards. The Innsbruck professional fire department and the Mühlau volunteer fire department were able to fight the fire.

Several gas cylinders were still in the warehouse when the fire department arrived, but according to initial information these were removed immediately. The fire was extinguished after a good three hours. Fortunately, no one was injured.

According to the Burton store operators: "This external building is used to store old products and marketing materials such as banners, flags and giveaways. Neither our Burton store, which is physically separate, nor the products stored there were affected by the incident."

The Burton store operators commented: "The damage caused by the fire is difficult to estimate at present, but we assume that the amount will remain manageable. The Burton store remains open as usual and is operating without restrictions."
