Amy Adams likes to look perfectly styled on the red carpet, but in her private life the actress now largely goes without make-up. And there's a sweet reason for this ...

Some time ago, her daughter Aviana asked her to do without make-up, Adams revealed in an interview with People magazine.

"Cheated with mascara"
"She doesn't like it when I wear make-up. She then says: 'I just want you to look like mom, not Amy Adams.' And I replied, 'All right'," smiled the Hollywood beauty.

And revealed that she didn't want to deny her now 14-year-old daughter this wish: "So there were years when I didn't wear make-up no matter where we went. Well, I did cheat a bit with the mascara. But yes, I didn't wear make-up because she just wanted me to be her mom." 

No sportswear please!
Aviana seems to have very specific ideas about what her mommy should look like. "I'm usually the least dressed up person in my house," Adams continued.

The 50-year-old continued with a twinkle in her eye, adding that she had already received an admonition from her daughter. "But recently, at my daughter's request, I've been working on improving things. She tells me: 'You can't wear sports clothes if you don't do sports, mom. You can't just do the athleisure part of athleisure'."

Amy Adams has been married to fellow actor Darren Le Gallo since 2015.
