Another bomb threat against Linz train station

It has happened again! On Thursday afternoon, the provincial police headquarters in Linz received an e-mail. The content: a bomb is about to explode at the main station. But this time there was no major chaos. The perpetrator was probably an old acquaintance.

It's almost routine for LPD in Linz's Gruberstraße to receive threatening emails. After a veritable wave of threats against various institutions a few weeks ago, the alleged perpetrator was located in Switzerland.

But now the young man - who reportedly has psychological problems - has apparently struck again. On Thursday, there was a threat that a bomb would go off at the main railway station in Linz.

Clear wording
The police searched the building - without finding a bomb. The building was not evacuated and trains were not stopped. The reason: "Based on the wording used, it was clear that the mail came from Switzerland again," said the police.
