During cable car assembly: man rammed by 100 kg carriage

Dramatic accident on the summit of the Schwarzgupf in the Rosental valley: during forestry work, a 40-year-old man was catapulted into the depths by a cable car carriage weighing over 100 kg.

A painful experience for a 40-year-old man from the district of Völkermarkt on Saturday morning in the Rosental valley: in the course of forestry work on the summit of the Schwarzgupf in St. Margareten (district of Klagenfurt Land), the man was installing a cable car to transport the wood away. An accident occurred for unknown reasons.

Colleagues rushed to help
The worker was rammed with full force by the trolley, which weighed over 100 kilograms, and catapulted from a platform about one meter high into the depths. The injured man was rescued by work colleagues and taken to a nearby farmstead. From there, the 40-year-old was taken to Klagenfurt Hospital by the ambulance service.
