Body found in the Loferbach: Autopsy ordered

Was it an accident or even someone else's fault? Forensic experts to clarify. Emergency services discovered a body in the Loferbach stream on Friday afternoon. It could be the lifeless body of a Tyrolean woman who has been missing for two weeks. 

An elderly woman from Waidring has been missing since September 16th. Initial searches on Tyrolean soil were initially unsuccessful. But one thing was certain: clothes were found. On Friday, the search operation was extended to Pinzgau. The Salzburg Water Rescue team then searched the Loferbach and Saalach rivers. Diving robots and sonar were also used. They were supported by the fire department and the police.

At around 4 p.m., the police dog picked up a scent shortly after the state border. Water rescuers then quickly found the lifeless body and brought it to shore. An investigation is now underway into the circumstances of the death.
