Caught in the act: burglar arrested

A house owner (51) in Baumkirchen (Innsbruck-Land district) had a strange encounter on Thursday night! When he came home, he met a stranger in the stairwell. The police arrested the suspect.

The 51-year-old local man returned to his house in Baumkirchen at around 1 am. There he should have been wide-eyed: He met an unknown man in the stairwell.

Suspect detained
The man tried to flee immediately, but the homeowner was able to detain the suspect until the police arrived. The man, a 48-year-old Hungarian, was arrested. He will be questioned in the course of Thursday.
