Tractor rolls over brother’s hand and foot

The work of two brothers on a drainage ditch in Egg ended in a terrible accident on Tuesday morning. A 72-year-old man was overlooked by his younger brother, who was reversing his tractor and was hit by the implement's trailer.  

The brothers were working on drainage ditches in the Berggut Erschalm area in Egg at around 11 am. The older of the two brothers, a 72-year-old man, was taking a power unit out of the shed and working on it while sitting down.

A short time later, the 63-year-old brother slowly backed up with his agricultural combination in order to pick up the power unit with the tractor's front loader. In doing so, he overlooked the man sitting on the ground, who was run over by the right rear wheel of the trailer in the area of his right leg and right hand.

The 72-year-old suffered serious injuries in the accident. After receiving emergency first aid, he was taken to the regional hospital in Bregenz.
