Man found dead by roommate in apartment

Emergency call in Vienna-Favoriten: A man had found his roommate dead in the apartment there. The 24-year-old is said to have suffered head injuries. Whether these were caused by a fall or an external cause must now be clarified ...

"Due to the unclear cause of death, the body was autopsied", reports police spokesman Markus Dittrich. It is not yet clear whether the man died as a result of an accident or blunt force trauma. The investigation is ongoing.

Flatmate found dead in bed
The victim is said to be a Slovakian. According to initial information, the flatmate discovered him lifeless in bed in their apartment in Randhartingergasse at around midnight on Sunday. 

The flatmate, who was the same age, is said to have immediately called the emergency services, but they were only able to determine the man's death on site. 

As police spokesman Markus Dittrich announced, it is still unclear where the deceased had been in the hours before his death, and any alibi of the 24-year-old roommate is still the subject of ongoing investigations.
