LASK legend moves to Greece!

Peter Michorl's long farewell to LASK has finally come to a proper conclusion: The 29-year-old Viennese is moving to Greece after being booted out of the Linz club last year and his contract expiring! Michorl, who spent around ten years at LASK, has signed a two-year contract with Atromitos Athens, who finished 11th in the Super League last season, until the end of June 2026 ...

For many years, a LASK line-up without Michorl was unthinkable; after moving from Vienna Austria to Linz in September 2014, he played 365 competitive matches (46 goals, 90 assists!) for LASK and its amateurs.

However, new coach Thomas Sageder, who was appointed for the 2023/24 season, was unable to do much with Michorl and decided to discard the midfielder. In the end, he was only allowed to play for the amateur team in the regional league.

Michorl is now restarting his career with a move to Greece. "It's the first time I've played outside of Austria and I'm delighted that I'll now be playing for Atromitos in Greece," said Michorl in a statement on the club's website.
