Tulln: Man (49) pulled dead from water in bathing lake

Shock at the Tulln bathing lake in Lower Austria. A 49-year-old man had gone swimming there on Saturday morning and never resurfaced. Fire department divers had to rescue the man from Lower Austria. 

The 49-year-old Lower Austrian had drowned in the Aubad swimming pool in Tulln. The police confirmed the incident. The man suddenly went under while swimming and never resurfaced.

Died on the spot
Members of the Vienna Fire Brigade were flown in by rescue helicopter and were finally able to rescue the swimmer from the water, reported the Tulln Fire Brigade. Despite resuscitation measures, the 49-year-old died on the spot.
