Animal hater poisoned alpacas on a farm

A brutal animal abuser targeted two alpaca mares on a farm in the Wolfsberg district and poisoned the good-natured creatures with a special medicine. 

According to the police, the attack probably took place between April 30 and May 1. An animal hater brutally poisoned two alpaca mares that lived on a farm in the Wolfsberg district. The owner then had the carcasses of the killed females examined by a veterinarian.

"The results of the examination now available indicate poisoning by means of a veterinary drug used to treat epilepsy in dogs," the investigators say. 

Adaptable and good-natured camel species
Alpacas, a domesticated camel species from the South American Andes that is becoming increasingly popular in Germany, are considered to be particularly adaptable and good-natured. 

The search for the currently unknown perpetrator is ongoing. The farmer suffered damage amounting to several thousand euros.
