Seven-year-old wandered through Vienna alone

On Monday afternoon, the police in Favoriten were alerted after a seven-year-old girl suddenly disappeared from her apartment.

The mother of the seven-year-old girl was completely taken aback when she realized that her daughter with autism had disappeared without a trace. The police immediately launched a search. Fortunately, the child was found a short time later by a patrol in the Leberstraße area of Landstraße.

A passer-by had already taken care of the child. Several patrols and police dog units from Vienna and Lower Austria were involved in the search. The seven-year-old runaway has since been returned to her mother. Child and youth welfare services were informed about the incident.
