15-year-old fled on a self-built motorcycle

A 15-year-old Hungarian kept the police in Linz on their toes on Saturday evening. He was riding a homemade motorcycle, sped away from the officers and even continued his escape on foot. The teenager was eventually found in a bush.

A 15-year-old Hungarian from Linz was riding his self-built motorcycle, a conversion of a mountain bike with a 100cc combustion engine, on Freistädter Straße in Linz at 8.43 pm on Saturday. At the intersection with Altenberger Straße, he crossed the intersection in front of the police car at a red light. The 15-year-old then drove behind the police car in an extremely dangerous manner.

Ran onto the highway ramp
The young driver drove onto the freeway slip road, then turned around and fled to a nearby parking lot, disregarding several barrier lines, a safety island and the red light of another traffic light. At the parking lot, he continued his escape on foot, running onto the highway on-ramp and fleeing in the direction of Gallneukirchen on the on-ramp.

Found in bushes
Shortly afterwards, he was found in a bush and taken safely away from the highway. Several charges were filed in accordance with the StVO and the KFG. The suspect was then handed over to his parents.
