Collided with cyclist while fleeing from police

Wild chase on Saturday evening in the Freistadt district! Because a 15-year-old moped rider without a license plate didn't want to be stopped, he sped away from the police until he collided with a cyclist and injured himself. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, but the young man was reported to the police.

At around 4.30 p.m., police officers noticed a moped rider because he was riding without a license plate. The 15-year-old from Unterweitersdorf ignored the officers' first attempt to stop him and instead sped off at excessive speed. The uniformed officers sped after him with flashing blue lights and sirens. 

Scary moment
Finally, in the Unterweitersdorf area, there was a moment of shock: the fugitive crashed into the bicycle of a 52-year-old man, causing both to fall to the ground. When the young man from Unterweitersdorf tried to get back on his bike, a police officer managed to stop him. The 15-year-old refused to accept this, fought back and slightly injured the officer.

Moped seized
The moped was seized by the police and the young driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries. He will face criminal charges. The cyclist, however, was lucky: he suffered hardly any injuries and signed a lapel.
