A tragic accident happened on Saturday morning on the Turracherstraße (B95) near Tamsweg in Salzburg. A local driver (18) drove her car into the wrong lane and crashed head-on into an oncoming car. The young woman lost her life.

According to the police, the accident occurred at around 10 a.m. in the municipality of Tamsweg. The driver of the oncoming car, a German (66), was injured and treated by an emergency doctor. He was flown to hospital, while the 18-year-old died of her serious injuries at the scene of the accident.

An expert is to clarify how this tragic accident could have happened: The public prosecutor's office ordered an expert opinion.
