Girlfriend (31) strangled and threatened to be killed

On Tuesday morning, the Vienna police were called to an apartment in Floridsdorf after a 35-year-old man choked his 31-year-old girlfriend and held her mouth shut with force.

When the woman was able to free herself from the hands of the suspect, she immediately alerted the police. The 35-year-old then threatened to kill the victim. When the police arrived, the man was provisionally arrested on suspicion of serious coercion and assault and was later released.

Refused to testify
He refused to make a statement. The motive for the argument was probably the couple's impending separation or the man's jealousy.

A ban on entering and approaching the house and a temporary ban on weapons were also issued. Both were slightly injured in the incident
