Second barn fire in three nights

Nine fire departments were busy extinguishing a burning old barn at a farm in Diersbach (Schärding district) in Upper Austria on the night of Whit Monday. Two days earlier, an old barn had also caught fire in the neighboring community of Kopfing. Coincidence?

On Monday night, an older outbuilding of a farmhouse in the municipality of
in the municipality of Diersbach was on fire. Similar to two days earlier
in the neighboring municipality of Kopfing im Innkreis, a smaller, slightly overgrown old barn had also caught fire. The fire department was alerted to a "fire in an agricultural building" at 0.44 am.

Alarm level 2 triggered
After a few minutes, a level 2 alert was triggered and a total of nine fire departments were deployed. Fortunately, the fire was quickly brought under control and the fire was successfully prevented from spreading to neighboring buildings. No one was injured. Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
