Speeding driver from Mühlviertel (20) overtakes civil patrol

A young man from Mühlviertel will probably have to pay dearly for this trip. Not only was the 20-year-old speeding along the Rohrbacher Bundesstraße at a significantly higher speed, but he also overtook the car of a plainclothes patrol. They immediately rushed after the man and were able to stop him. 

Police officers on a civilian patrol in the Rohrbach district were quite astonished when they were overtaken by a 20-year-old driver from Afiesl on the B 127 in the direction of Linz at far too high a speed. The plainclothes police took up the chase and recorded a speed of 160 km/h on the Freilandstraße.

The driver from Mühlviertel also drove through the area of the so-called Kleinzeller junction (junction L1520) - where a maximum speed of 80 km/h is permitted - at 110 km/h and then accelerated again to 140 km/h, whereupon he was finally stopped at St. Martin im Mühlkreis and subjected to a driver and vehicle check.

No impairment
Both the alcohol test and the drug test on the young man were negative. However, the driver must now expect charges and hefty fines.
