From the Arbö building
Thieves steal 100 kilogram safe in Tyrol
A sensational break-in on Sunday night in Tyrol! Unknown perpetrators broke into the Arbö building in Telfs (Innsbruck-Land district) and stole, among other things, a 100-kilogram safe. This was found unopened on Sunday afternoon in the nearby Arzbergklamm gorge.
In addition to the safe, which weighed around 100 kilograms, the thieves also stole a cash box and several packs of cigarettes. "In the nearby Arzbergklamm gorge, they tried to open the safe in the stream bed, but were unsuccessful," said the police.
Property damage of several thousand euros
On Sunday afternoon, the safe was recovered by the officers and handed over to the owner unopened. "Despite seizing the unopened safe, the victim suffered damage amounting to several thousand euros," said the police.
Police are looking for witnesses
Telfs police are now looking for witnesses who saw the burglary that night or who noticed anything suspicious in the Arzbergklamm, especially in the area of the pedestrian bridge, on Sunday. "Three people may have been handling a safe there or otherwise attracted attention," explain the investigators.
