Drunk driver in hospital after rollover with car

A nasty accident occurred on the Ötztalstraße in Umhausen on Saturday evening. A local woman (39) drove off the road in her car and overturned several times. She was only slightly injured. She had probably been drinking too much beforehand.

The 39-year-old local woman was driving on the Ötztalstraße in Umhausen shortly after 8 pm. As she was driving out of the valley, she left the road on the right for unknown reasons. Her car overturned several times and came to rest on its side in an adjacent meadow after about 50 meters.

A breathalyzer test revealed that the driver was considerably under the influence of alcohol.

She was able to leave the wrecked vehicle on her own. "A breathalyzer test revealed considerable alcohol intoxication," the police said. The driver was taken by ambulance to Zams hospital with minor injuries.
