Fire in residential building leaves two injured
On Thursday evening, a fire broke out in a residential building in Neumarkt an der Ybbs in the district of Melk (Lower Austria). Around eight fire departments were deployed.
The sirens were wailing around Neumarkt an der Ybbs at around 8 pm. For unknown reasons, a fire broke out in a residential building, injuring two people according to the fire department. They were taken to hospital for further assessment.

Eight fire departments rushed to the scene, including breathing apparatus teams, who fought against the flames. The fire was quickly brought under control. What started the fire is still unclear and is the subject of a police investigation.
Due to the operation, the main road through Neumarkt had to be temporarily closed. A detour was set up.
