Marc Marquez celebrates his first pole position with Ducati! The Spaniard was fastest in wet conditions in qualifying for the Spanish GP. World championship leader Jorge Martin and world champion Pecco Bagnaia will start the race from third and seventh place respectively.

For Marquez, it is the first pole since the Portimao GP at the start of the 2023 season. He shares row one with fellow brand riders Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin.

"I am super happy. It's my first pole position with Gresini. This time I was also riding alone, pushing and trying to find the limit. I also managed my first real save with the Ducati. That means I'm getting more confident step by step," said Marquez. "But we have to stay focused. Now we are happy, but at the same time we are already thinking about the sprint race. From pole position, the goal is to finish on the podium."

Here are the results in detail:

Bagnaia only seventh
KTM rider Brad Binder leads the second row ahead of Fabio Di Giannantonio and Alex Marquez. World champion Bagnaia was pushed back to seventh place at the end. Franco Morbidelli and Enea Bastianini line up behind him. Pedro Acosta was unable to improve after his crash and finished tenth.
